Okay...maybe not "really" Egyptian but still worth a peek. If nothing else you can get a great view down the steps. 😄🇮🇹

Made by Aurelian as a copy of the Flaminio for the Circus Sallustianus. Found by Sixtus V, moved by the Ludovisi to San Giovanni in Laterano in 1734, but kept horizontal. Erected in 1789 by Pius VI.

The obelisk is a Roman one, not an Egyptian one and the inscriptions were copied from the Flaminian, but without understanding, so they make no sense (and some are inverted)
