Noise-cancelling headphones are a must if you spend more than a few of minutes here. The street ”musicians” are awful. In particular, the odd two-trombone and drum ensemble is massacring my eardrums.

As my friend and colleague Francesco Ciriaci points out, there's a good reason why this escalator offers a check-in...it takes a bloody long time to go up or down, so you gotta have something to do.

One of the busiest stations in MoCo and the escalators are chronically broken. The county needs to build a second entrance ASAP!

Good exercise tip - walk up the moving escalator without stopping until you reach the top.

Before the Wheaton Metro stop was built, this stop had the longest escalator ride of 475 feet in the Western Hemisphere. Not recommended for those with vertigo issues.
