Sweden: calmness – Scandanavian style

You can see for yourself that an urban city in Sweden isn't always noise, smog and fuss.

The capital, Stockholm, will impress everyone with its calmness, cleanliness and comfort. Only here can members of the royal family be found simply strolling down the street, and important politicians can be seen riding to the Ricksdag on bicycles. There's no need either for transport, all you need is a map of the city: the best part of Sweden has been given over to pedestrians and cyclists. It's easy to learn how to get around on two wheels places of interest, because there are more bike racks than bus stops or parking spaces. Your country guide will certainly advise you to visit the Stockholm Royal Palace in Sweden, Gamla Stan – Old Town, the Town Hall, the Riksdag (Parliament of Sweden), the Globen Observation Site and the Vasa Museum – a genuine 17th century ship that has remained practically in pristine condition. Every year, these popular places attract hundreds of thousands of travellers from many different countries. The cities of Gothenburg and Malmö are very popular with fans of cultural tourism, and winter sports enthusiasts enjoy hundreds of trails at the Åre resort on the border with Norway.
