Beautiful building, very nice courtyards and an impressive main hall with high and elaborately decorated ceilings. I especally liked the collection of local artists on the second floor.

Go late to avoid the crowds! It's open until 8:30PM. We had a late tapas lunch at La Azotea and went to the museum at 6PM. Had the place almost to ourselves, with still hours left until it closed.

Beautiful property, friendly staff. It's not the Louvre, but they have nice collections of Renaissance paintings, and especially nice collections of Sevillan works.

The admission price is the best deal in Sevilla! 1,50€ per person! Even if you're not into the art, the building, decor, and gardens are worth it!

En este lugar se encontraba el Convento de la Merced, de este convento se trasladó la portada de su entrada a la actual del Museo, detrás en c/ Bailén se puede ver el corte de la anterior ubicación.

This former convent is an appealing and under-visited art museum. Its strength is a collection of Baroque Spain painting by Velázquez, El Greco, Zurbarán and Murillo and its peaceful cloister gardens.

Free for EU citizens if you show your passport. Worth it for the gorgeous patios and the great art collection.
