From Ella take the morning train at 6.45. In Haputale find a tuk tuk and go directly to the Lipton’s seat. Try to be there before ten, enjoy the view and than the 8km long journey back to factory.

There's a small shop selling good food and tea; roti served with an excellent sambol, wadey, and potato patty. A must try!

Payed 800Rs for the way up with a tuk tuk and walking down to the factory takes ~45mins including stops for pictures.

Best way is from Haputale, the walk is long. I recommend to take a scooter. Up there is nothing, but the view and statue. You can buy tea in tea factories on the road.
