Very disappointed. Party of 4, 2 ordered steak but brought out the wrong cut. Doing it correctly would take another 20 mins. No apology. Didn't offer a dessert menu. Shame as had high expectations.

Well-worth booking in advance for this fabulous venue. A quirky interior design with low ceilings, blankets on the chairs in case of chilly weather and an excellent menu with great cask ales.

Tip: If you're over 5ft 5in, then proceed with caution - this 16th-century inn's beams might do you some damage. Other than that, this is a warm idyllic countryside pub and highly commend it.
