Wood and kindling is kinda wet so it's hard to get a fire going... Dry your wood through the day if you can

Beach was full of rocks and seaweed it was hard to enjoy the beach. However, lots of programs and lots to do outside like the Bowmanville Zoo

The Lakeside campgrounds are really quite decent. They do need more walking paths between the sites.

Campsites are not that great; good place for family picnic; beach is not crowded; canoes and pedal boats are ideal in the sheltered waters of McLaughlin Bay
