Very cool place trees are standing and made of stone. Some are still alive.

And like me don't miss the museum/center which is near I90 ... the state park is 2 miles further inland while museum is near the freeway exit with just a sign for center which one shouldn't skip

If u have visited Arizona petrified forest which had exhibits in open, don't expect same out here. Petrified wood is caged so photos are not easy to take. 1-1.5 hrs hike trail ...

Bring your camera and water bottle. There are signs referring to rattle snakes, so appropriate footwear is suggested.

It's a state park, so you'll need a discover pass to park.

Windy conditions make it colder than what appears. Beautifully sunny though!

Go see the petroglyphs and chat with the nice Ranger. AND make sure to stop at the Ginkgo Gem Shop, The owner is extremely nice - opened up after closing time for my family.
