In summer time there’s a restriction on dogs on the beach! You can still walk your dog on the longsands but only in the north end of the beach. After the surfshack area up the rocks in the north.

Beautiful beach with the aquarium, park and crazy golf nearby, not forgetting the scenic seafront walk. Favourite beach in the north-east.

Playa espectacular, de arena blanca y muy fina. Las vistas son realmente buenas con iglesias y un pequeño acantilado. Ir en verano, que el agua puede estar a unos desagradables 2-3°C en invierno! X(

Superb place to visit. I have being going to Tynemouth Longsands for over forty years. The local authority need to invest some money in to the area. The Victorian pool needs to be restored.
