Great view of the ocean. Take the trail to get to the beach, it’s steep but manageable. The first thirty minutes of parking is free.

Amazing tidepools not only in Abalone Cove but the adjacent coves to the south! They are accessible by blufftop trails down to the water.

In Inception (2010) Cobb washes up on the shoreline of Abalone Cove with the castle added digitally in post-production and the beach was reused as the edge of limbo with digital tower blocks.

Wanted to get to the tide pools. Turned out out was gonna be a bit too much of a hike so it didn't work out.

Check surfline.com or other forecasts and go when the tide is low otherwise you won't be able to see/appreciate the tide pools. There's a cave right at the rocky point of the bend.
