Love this place .... go back in time watching the machines work... take a walk round the apprentice house tour it’s fantastic ... and if your a national trust member it’s all free

A very interesting look at history of cotton twinning and the working conditions were incredible

Visit the inside of the mill. Make sure you see the steam engines.

Free wifi in the café, which is good as most of the site is in a steep valley so there's very little mobile reception.

The gardens at the top of the hill have been renovated. Lovely meadow and little cafe.
